Prior to this, Dan has led teams in Asia, Europe, and North America. He was also Executive Editor of Bloomberg News, where he built its economics news into a powerhouse of reporting and editing.

Dan is the founder of Bloomberg Benchmark, a podcast on the economy. During the Asian Financial Crisis, he acted as the Kuala Lumpur bureau chief.

Sam Ahmed

As COO of Treasury & Markets, Sam is responsible for DBS' global Business Management Services support teams.

He came to DBS with 27 years of experience in Global Markets roles across Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Citi. In his last role, Sam ran a management consulting company focusing on helping Asian banks build FICC, custody, and prime markets businesses while driving digital transformation with regional banks and asset management companies.

Sam also chairs various regulatory committees. He is the Director of T&M’s fund management businesses and is a member of the T&M Executive Committee.
